This article aims to analyze and review the use and side effects of social media and health awareness during COVID-19 period. This study drew on data from various research articles on the relationship between social media's effects and side effects. Social media and health awareness have exhibited recent trends. Discussion of potential approaches to meeting the growing demand for social media and management of health has further increased concerns about the ocular diseases, obesity, mental health and telemedicine.
